We take your privacy seriously and process your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act. This policy explains what data we collect about you when you use yournamecode.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have.

2. What personal data we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may process the following categories of personal data:
- Identity and contact data: first name, last name, email address.
- Numerology input data: full name (including any previous or middle names you choose to enter) and date of birth, used solely to calculate your numerology report. For relationship reports, the same data for the second person. This information is sent to Anthropic's Claude API in order to generate the written analysis (see section 4).
- Account data (Name Builder): hashed password, liked names, saved templates and similar settings if you create an account.
- Order and payment data: order ID, product, amount, currency and Stripe transaction reference. Card details are handled directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited.
- Cookie and consent data: your cookie choices and a hashed version of your IP address (see our Cookie Policy for details).
- Communication data: the content of any emails or support messages you send us.

4. Recipients and data processors
We share your data only with trusted partners who help us run the site. They act as data processors on our behalf and are bound by data processing agreements.
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland) and Stripe, Inc. (USA): payment processing.
- Nordicway ApS (Denmark, nordicway.dk): web hosting, database storage and email delivery (transactional emails such as order confirmations and password resets).
- Anthropic, PBC (USA): AI text generation via the Claude API. When you order a report, your name and date of birth (and, for relationship reports, your partner's name and date of birth) are sent to Anthropic so that Claude can generate the personalised written analysis. Anthropic does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models, and data is retained by Anthropic only for a short period for abuse-monitoring purposes. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC (USA): web analytics, only if you consent to statistics cookies.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
5. Transfers to third countries
Some of our processors (Stripe, Anthropic and Google) are based in or transfer data to the United States. These transfers are protected by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent safeguards in line with GDPR Chapter V.
6. How long we store your data
- Free calculation input (name, date of birth) submitted without an order: deleted automatically when you leave the page; nothing is stored on our servers unless you save it to an account.
- Order and invoice data: kept for 5 years from the end of the financial year, as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act.
- Account data (Name Builder): kept as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days after you close your account or after 24 months of inactivity.
- Server log files: typically kept for up to 6 months.
- Cookie consent log: up to 24 months for documentation purposes.
- Support emails: up to 24 months after the last contact.
7. Your rights under the GDPR
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: get a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): have your data deleted, where applicable.
- Right to restriction of processing.
- Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out.

9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access. This includes encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, restricted server access and regular backups. In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights, we will notify you without undue delay.
10. Children
Our services are not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have done so, please contact us and we will delete the information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page will always reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated on the site.
